Combining entertainment, motivation and information for both adults or children
Angie is an accomplished public speaker partly the result of dedicated nuns who tried to tame her and “walking the talk” as a drama teacher for thirteen years.
Her love of adventure, the environment, education, the ocean (she is a highly experienced SCUBA diver), and her uncanny nature for being in the right spot at the wrong time; dodging tsunamis, cyclones and eruptions, has resulted in her having a wide range of interesting speaking topics which she combines with her philosophies and promotion of well-being.
Speaking Engagements have included: Comvita, Chamber of Commerce- Business Women’s Network, Rotary and other Service Clubs, Friends of the Library, Tauranga Literacy Council, Te Puke Intermediate Writers Guild Awards and assorted literary events.
Storytelling and Author visits: To many schools throughout New Zealand by personal bookings and through the New Zealand Book Council Writers in Schools Scheme
Workshops: Hatch a Bookette with Purple Chicken Press facilitated by The Incubator-Tauranga and various Library Holiday Programmes.
Other Unusual Bookings: Writing and speaking has opened many unusual and entertaining opportunities including: Being a book shop window display, the prize in a raffle at a literary conference and partaking in a living art installation during an arts festival.
Angie is also available for mentoring, motivating, editing, copywriting and producing educational resources.
“Thank you so much for being the keynote speaker at Te Puke Intermediate’s Writers Guild Awards. It was a prestigious and glamourous event that both our students and parents enjoyed. Many of our students were both inspired and motivated by your talk and understood the importance of reading to become a good writer. Your passion for both writing and the Ocean, our theme for the evening really came through. Thank you.”

“I just wanted to thank you for your inspiring visits on Wednesday! What a great book! I worked with my buddy class, the New Entrants today and my Y5/6 class was enthralled by the story and we acted out the parts of the characters. We then had 34 new entrants and my 28 seniors happily working together making paper plate farm animals! So once again, many thanks for agreeing to take part in our Authors in August event this year.”
